DROPITI - Online Renting Platform for All

ABOUT DROPITI

Dropiti is an ambitious project. There are totals of 8 main steps of the project. The ultimate goal of the project is to create a platform that serves as a complete ecosystem for searching, transferring, managing and financing properties.

THE PROJECT

The goal of the current stage is to enable its users to complete the process of letting/renting without the assistance of real estate agent. Enabling the users to let/rent is only the 1A out of 8 main steps.
The duration of the project is 4 weeks. It's a project of a group of 5, in which we need to go through the entire process from project & research planning, conducting interview, research analysis, ideating and UI/UX designing.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROBLEM

  • With today’s technology, network and ease of access to the internet, why are we still using the same dinosaur method of going through an agent? It is inefficient, lacks transparency and time-consuming.
  • The added cost creates an unnecessary barrier for people to enter the property market. Making it harder for people to invest, increases considerable time required to save up and discourages transactions.
  • Dependence on subpar professional and incompetent services has resulted in a lack of control and confidence with the existing system.

POTENTIAL TARGET USERS:

  • Young couples - 20-30 yos
  • Tech savvy millennials - 40 yos
  • Pet owners
  • People who travel a lot for work, stay 6 months in several countries - Digital Nomads.
  • People who might get turned down by old school landlords - POC, LGBTQ couples, single and young workers who have been responsible and have money, but landlords doubt that they do.

MY ROLE

My contribution in this project include both conducting User Experience Research, User Interface exploration and Design. My role is to identify the problems from coach side by interview research.
Also, to discover coach’s pain point from research findings to be the guidance and direction for the user interface design.
I'm responsible to developed and design the unique feature of the project, the dropiti pin, which allows the user to precisely locate and narrow down the result during the process of searching. Also, I'm assigned to be the “Design system guardian” to check and ensure the style on each page are consistent.

LANDING

Landing page plays a role as a bigger filter before the users go into precise searching on the next step. Also, this page first introduce the paid features to the users: 360 Camera and Dropiti Boost. These paid features answer the comments from the interview that landlords need help while they creating a post for their listing.

DROPITI PIN

Dropping interest pins to get real-time notifications.

Buyers/Renters can narrow down their search by dropping customized pins in locations and/or dream houses that they are interested in.

A notification will alert the Buyer/Renter when a new listing is available and satisfies their requirements.

DROPITI BID

User can see incoming listing bids in their offers. Users can see multiple bids User can give each other up to 3 times to create counter offers for a rental agreement. And upon finalization will allow users to begin a contract agreement. Users should bablele to view listings and create a bid. By creating a bid, a user can enter the price, rental duration and payment terms. Upon submitting the bid, the auction bid will be submitted to the user. Users can upload and manage their listings onto the platform.

NEXT STEP

The project is an on-going project which we are still working on others features such as user profile, smart contract and tenant profile to be included in the beta version.
After lauching the beta version, the team will proceed to the next stage of the project, which is to enable users to sell/buy property.
